This three phase reactor is a series connected inductive component used in variable frequency drive systems, industrial power distribution and harmonic mitigation. It is built on a laminated silicon steel core with three separate coil legs, so each phase carries its own winding and the assembly presents balanced impedance to a three phase supply. Connected in series with the line, it limits the rate of current rise, absorbs voltage surges and attenuates the harmonic current that switching converters inject back into the mains.
A reactor is not a transformer. There is no secondary winding and no voltage conversion. The full load current flows through the winding continuously, so the core must handle real working flux without saturating. The design therefore uses a gapped laminated core with generous cross section and heavy gauge conductor, sized so that inductance stays stable at rated current and under overload rather than collapsing at the moment it is most needed.
The unit is supplied in a ventilated sheet steel enclosure with mounting feet, so it can be floor mounted or fitted inside a control cabinet. Windings are vacuum impregnated and film wrapped for insulation and mechanical rigidity, and the output is brought to marked copper busbar terminals for direct cable lug connection. Rated current, inductance per phase, voltage class, impedance percentage, enclosure size and terminal layout are all defined against the customer drawing or system requirement.

Q1: Are you a factory or a trading company?
A1: We are a manufacturer. We operate our own 10,000 sqm production base in Dongguan, Guangdong, China, with 8 complete production lines and in-house R&D and QC teams.
Q2: What is the difference between an input reactor and an output reactor?
A2: An input reactor sits between the mains and the drive. It limits inrush and surge current into the rectifier and reduces the harmonic current drawn from the supply. An output reactor sits between the drive and the motor. It reduces dv/dt stress on the motor insulation and limits the capacitive charging current of long motor cables. The construction is similar but the design targets are different, so please tell us which side it will be installed on.
Q3: How do I choose the impedance percentage?
A3: 2% to 3% is common where the main purpose is surge protection and moderate harmonic reduction. 4% to 5% gives stronger harmonic attenuation but a larger voltage drop. 7% is normally used for detuned capacitor banks. Tell us the drive rating, the supply short circuit capacity and the harmonic limit you must meet, and we will recommend a value.
Q4: What payment terms do you accept?
A4: We accept T/T, PayPal and Western Union.
Q5: What information do you need to quote?
A5: Rated voltage, rated current or drive power, frequency, required inductance or impedance percentage, application side (input, output, DC link or filter), enclosure requirement, terminal type and any dimensional limit. A drawing or a photo of the nameplate you are replacing is also sufficient in most cases.
Q6: Can you supply an open frame version without the enclosure?
A6: Yes. The same electrical design can be supplied as an open frame IP00 unit for installation inside a customer cabinet, or in a ventilated enclosure with mounting feet as shown. Terminal position and mounting hole pattern can be adjusted to your layout.
Q7: Which certifications do you have?
A7: We hold ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 system certification. Product certifications including CE, CB, UL, cUL and RoHS are available. Please tell us your target market so we can confirm the applicable scope for your model.
Q8: What testing is performed before shipment?
A8: Each unit is checked for inductance per phase, DC resistance, phase balance, dielectric strength and insulation resistance, with a temperature rise test performed on the qualification sample. Results are recorded under our ISO 9001 quality system.
Q9: Why does a reactor hum, and how is it controlled?
A9: Audible noise comes from magnetostriction in the core and from movement of the turns. We control it with tight core clamping, controlled gap construction and vacuum varnish impregnation of the coils. If your installation has a specific noise limit, tell us the value and we will design against it.
Q10: How are the products packed and shipped?
A10: Units are fixed on a wooden pallet or in a plywood case with foam protection around the terminals and enclosure. We ship by sea for larger quantities and by air or express for samples, and we support DDP and DDU terms.
Q11: Do you have overseas warehouses or dropshipping service?
A11: We do not operate overseas warehouses and do not provide dropshipping. All goods are shipped directly from our factory in China.
Q12: What if there is a quality problem after delivery?
A12: Please provide the serial or batch number, the installation conditions and failure photos or measurement data. Our QC and R&D teams will analyse the case, issue an analysis report and agree a replacement or corrective action plan with you.
