The EI57 EI76 EI96 Control Transformer is a high-precision, low-frequency power solution designed to provide stable operating voltages for industrial control circuits. Built on a standardized EI57 EI76 EI96 laminated silicon steel core, this series typically handles power capacities ranging from 50VA to 150VA. It acts as a robust isolation barrier, stepping down primary utility voltages (such as 380V, 415V, or 440V) to common control levels (24V, 110V, or 220V), ensuring that sensitive electronic controllers and actuators are shielded from grid fluctuations and noise.

In industrial settings, transformers are often exposed to humidity, dust, and constant mechanical vibrations from nearby motors. The VPI (Vacuum Pressure Impregnation) process forces high-grade insulating resin into the innermost layers of the copper windings and the gaps between the laminations. Once cured, it creates a solid, moisture-proof mass. This not only prevents internal electrical arcing due to humidity but also effectively "locks" the laminations together, virtually eliminating the 50Hz/60Hz mechanical humming noise and significantly extending the transformer's service life in harsh conditions.
Inductive loads like contactors require a massive surge of current (inrush) to pull in their armature, often 8-10 times their steady-state current. The EI76 is designed with a low-impedance winding structure and a magnetic core that has a generous saturation margin. This allows the transformer to deliver these instantaneous peak loads without a significant secondary voltage sag. By maintaining voltage stability during the contactor's "pick-up" phase, the EI76 prevents contact "chatter" and ensures the reliable engagement of all inductive components in the control string.
