Product Description

The T50 is a toroidal isolation transformer with an annular magnetic core, insulated windings, flexible color-coded lead wires, and wrapped outer insulation system. Toroidal construction is selected where compact geometry, low magnetic stray field, low audible noise, and efficient use of core material are important.

Important Note: The T50 model designation alone does not prove a fixed 50 VA rating or any specific voltage combination. Exact specifications must be taken from an approved specification or clearly readable drawing.

Unlike high-frequency ferrite transformers, this product is intended for low-frequency AC operation at 50 Hz, 60 Hz, or dual-frequency conditions. It must not be connected to DC, as direct DC excitation can cause core saturation, excessive current, overheating, and product damage.

Product Construction
Magnetic Core
Toroidal wound core selected according to voltage, frequency, rated VA, losses, flux density, dimensions, and temperature-rise requirements
Winding Arrangement
Primary and secondary windings distributed around the toroidal core for magnetic coupling and compact construction
Lead Wires
Multiple color-coded flexible leads with customizable conductor size, insulation rating, length, color, stripping, and connector termination
Thermal Protection
Optional thermal fuse, resettable thermostat, or temperature sensor selected according to approved protection strategy
Key Characteristics
Galvanic Isolation
Separate primary and secondary windings provide isolation between input supply and load with defined working voltage and insulation requirements
Low Noise Construction
Closed magnetic path supports low stray flux and low audible noise when properly controlled
Efficient Magnetic Utilization
Toroidal construction provides efficient use of magnetic material and compact form factor
Stable Voltage Performance
Optimized conductor size, turns count, and core selection for required no-load and full-load voltage limits

Frequently Asked Questions
Does T50 automatically mean a 50 VA transformer?
No. T50 may identify a product series, platform, size, or customer model. Rated VA must be confirmed from the approved electrical and mechanical specification.
Can the primary voltage be customized?
Yes. Single-primary, dual-primary, series-parallel, tapped, and regional-voltage versions may be developed subject to insulation, winding-space, and thermal review.
Can this transformer operate from DC input?
No. A conventional low-frequency toroidal transformer requires AC input. Direct DC can saturate the core and cause excessive current, overheating, or damage.
What is the MOQ?
MOQ starts from 1 piece. Final availability and price depend on material, tooling, design complexity, and quotation confirmation.
Final Note: The T50 model or toroidal core platform does not by itself define fixed power, voltage, current, frequency, insulation, or thermal ratings. Final performance is confirmed only through approved drawings, electrical specifications, material systems, test plans, and customer sample-validation processes.
