1. Product Introduction
This high frequency power transformer is built on a PQ type ferrite core and is designed for switching power supplies operating in the tens to hundreds of kilohertz range. The PQ geometry gives a large winding window relative to its footprint and a round centre leg, which shortens the mean turn length and lowers copper loss compared with an equivalent EE core of the same power class. The closed magnetic path also keeps leakage flux low, which helps the end product pass radiated emission testing.
The windings are made with litz wire rather than solid magnet wire. At high switching frequency, current in a solid conductor crowds into the outer surface and the effective resistance rises sharply. Litz wire divides the conductor into many individually insulated strands, so the current distributes across the full copper area and AC loss stays under control. This is what allows the transformer to run at high frequency without excessive temperature rise.
Primary and secondary are brought out on flying leads with a plug-in terminal block, so the part can be dropped into a wire harness assembly without a dedicated PCB footprint. The sample shown is marked MTPQ50-301-15166 and carries UL recognition under file E332338 with the CHIPSEN-F insulation system. Turns ratio, inductance, wire construction, lead length, connector model and core size are all defined against the customer drawing or converter specification.

Q1: Are you a factory or a trading company?

Q2: What is your MOQ?
A2: Our standard MOQ is 1,000 pcs. For customized designs the MOQ may vary with the complexity of the structure, and we can discuss a suitable quantity for your project.
Q3: What does the UL marking on the label mean?
A3: The label shows UL file number E332338 and the CHIPSEN-F insulation system, meaning the insulation system used in this transformer is UL recognised at class F. This supports the safety evaluation of your finished equipment.

Q5: Why is litz wire used instead of ordinary magnet wire?
A5: At high switching frequency the current in a solid conductor concentrates near the surface, which raises the effective AC resistance and the temperature. Litz wire splits the conductor into many insulated strands so the current uses the full copper cross section, keeping AC loss and temperature rise low.
Q6: Can you build to my drawing or my converter specification?
A6: Yes. This product is made to order. Please provide the input and output voltage, output power, switching frequency, topology, required inductance and turns ratio, isolation requirement and mechanical constraints. If you only have the converter specification, our engineers can propose the transformer design.
Q7: Which core sizes and structures can you offer?
A7: Besides PQ50 we produce PQ, EE, EFD, EPC, RM, ETD and toroidal structures. The core size is selected according to output power, switching frequency and flux density margin.
Q8: Can I get samples before mass production?
A8: Yes. Samples are available for evaluation. After the design parameters are confirmed we build samples for your electrical and thermal testing before releasing mass production.
Q9: What testing do you perform before shipment?
A9: Every unit is tested for inductance, turns ratio, DC resistance, dielectric strength and insulation resistance according to the agreed test plan, and results are recorded under our ISO 9001 quality system.
Q10: How are the products packed and shipped?
A10: Units are packed with foam or partition trays in inner cartons and export cartons to protect the core and lead wires during transport. We ship by express, air or sea, and we support DDP and DDU terms.
Q11: Do you have overseas warehouses or dropshipping service?
A11: We do not operate overseas warehouses and do not provide dropshipping. All goods are shipped directly from our factory in China.
Q12: What if there is a quality problem after delivery?
A12: Please provide the batch number, test conditions and failure photos or measurement data. Our QC and R&D teams will analyse the samples, issue an analysis report and agree a replacement or corrective action plan with you.
